A fire erupted on Wednesday morning in a multi-storey residential building near Shri Ram Chowk, close to the Palam Metro station in southwest Delhi, with officials from the Delhi Police and Delhi Fire Services said that around 10 people are feared to be trapped.
Nearly 30 fire tenders were deployed to the spot to contain the blaze and conduct rescue operations. Officials from the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) said casualties are suspected, but noted that the exact situation will become clear only after the firefighting and rescue efforts are completed, Hindustan Times reported.
