Shah Rukh Khan Shares What Still Surprises Him After 35 Years of His Career: ‘I Am Realising How Bad…’

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently reflected on his 35-year career in films and revealed that he had doubts about his abilities. Despite his fame and fortune, SRK has said that the lessons he learns on the job keep him humble, and there is always something that surprises him about his profession.

The actor recently spoke at the third Global Freight Summit in Dubai about a turning point in his career. He recalled an incident when he arrived at a film set with an inflated sense of self-confidence and quickly learnt that his coworkers had far more talent than he did. “I thought I am the best actor when I came on the set. I was overconfident and then I realised, everyone on set were acting better than me,” he shared.

SRK added, “I took the first flight back to Delhi and I remember, there used to be an international flight that used to be 25% cheaper as I couldn’t afford the other one. I rushed to the airport, bought the ticket and wanted to go home because I realised, I am such a bad actor.”

Shah Rukh Khan, who has become a role model for many people throughout the globe, has said that he is still evolving professionally after having worked for 35 years. He said, “Every time, I am learning more, I am realising how bad I am. In 35 years of my career, every time I go on a set, I realise how much more there is to know. This surprises me about my profession.”
