India Advises Citizens To ‘Defer’ Travel To Nepal Amid Violent Protests
The Ministry of External Affairs issued a travel advisory urging citizens to postpone any non-essential visits to the neighbouring country until the situation improves.

Indian nationals currently in Nepal have been advised to remain indoors, avoid venturing into the streets, and exercise maximum caution. They are also urged to closely follow safety instructions issued by Nepalese authorities as well as updates from the Embassy of India in Kathmandu.

“In view of the developing situation in Nepal, Indian citizens are advised to defer travel there until the situation has stabilised. Indian citizens presently in Nepal are advised to shelter in their current places of residence, avoid going out onto the streets and exercise all due caution. They are also advised to follow local safety advisories from Nepal authorities as well as the Embassy of India in Kathmandu,” the advisory read.
