Explosions have been reported at several locations in Venezuela’s capital, Caracas, triggering widespread concern. News agency Reuters confirmed hearing loud blasts, while Al Jazeera’s local correspondent reported explosions accompanied by fire.
The incidents were not limited to the capital. A separate explosion was also reported at La Guaira Port in the city of Maiquetía, near Caracas, raising fears of a broader security incident.
Airspace Cleared After Blasts
Following the explosions, Venezuela’s airspace was reportedly completely cleared, with multiple aircraft diverting from their original routes. Flight movements in and around the affected areas were halted as a precautionary measure.
