Mumbai’s premier Grand Hyatt hotel received a bomb threat on Saturday via a phone call which has been traced to Germany.
A senior Mumbai police official said a call was received from an unidentified person at hotel’s customer care contact number threatening to blow the facility.
As per the sources, the caller threatened that the hotel will be blown in next 10 minutes prompting the hotel management to report the incident to police.
A team of police and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) reached the hotel and launched a probe and nothing suspicious was found.
An FIR has been lodged against an unidentified person in connection with the incident and the police have started the investigation.
Sources said that a preliminary investigation revealed that the number from which the call came to the hotel’s customer care was from Germany.
