Strong earthquake tremors jolted the Delhi-NCR region on Tuesday afternoon. The tremors, which were felt in parts of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh, lasted for more than 10 seconds. The National Centre for Seismology said an earthquake of magnitude 6.2 struck Nepal at a depth of 5 km at 2:51 pm.
“Earthquake of Magnitude: 6.2, occurred on 03-10-2023, 14:51:04 IST, Lat: 29.39 and Long: 81.23, Depth: 5 Km, Location: Nepal,” National Centre for Seismology posted on X, formerly Twitter.
Several people were seen rushing out of their offices and homes as the tremors continued for more than 10 seconds. As per initial reports, no damage to life or property have been reported so far.
