Necessary For India Too To Be Self-Reliant’: PM Modi Notes Biden’s ‘Make In America’ Pitch In State Of Union Address
New Delhi: Continuing with the post-Budget Webinar series, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed an event on ‘Technology-led development’ today. PM Modi urged India to be self-reliant and said that technology is a robust medium to empower the common man.
PM Modi noted that the US President stressed on ‘Make in America’ in today’s speech, and said it is necessary that India too becomes self-reliant in new order. He said, “technology for us is robust medium to empower common man & strong base to make India self-reliant.”
PM Modi highlighted the impact of Union Budget 2022-23 on the technology and science sector and outlined the action points for implementing the provisions made for this sector in this budget.
PM Modi said that in this year’s Union budget, emphasis has been laid on sunrise sectors like artificial intelligence, semiconductors, space technology, etc. A road map has been laid for auction for 5G spectrum in this Budget.
