Amid Omicron fear, Section 144 imposed in Mumbai starting today till January 7 – Check guidelines

New Delhi: Amid the Omicron scare, the Mumbai Police has said prohibitory orders under CrPC section 144 will be imposed in the city from December 30 to January 7.

New Year’s celebrations, parties in any closed or open space including restaurants, hotels, bars, pubs, resorts and clubs from December 30 Dec to January 7 has been prohibited.

This development comes after Maharashtra Minister Aaditya Thackeray held a meeting with BMC Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar and other health officials.
